Information was received by Inspector Cullen yesterday to the effect that while jacking logs in the Peria bush, Whangaroa, on Friday afternoon, a bush contractor named Frank George Rhodes had his leg broken, and subsequently died from shock and loss of blood. Deceased has left a wife and six young children.
