Biography

Frederick Rohrer Jr. was born in 1792 in Rohrersville, Washington, Maryland., the son of Frederick Rohrer Sr. and Magdalena Bechtel Rohrer.

Frederick married Elizabeth Thomas in May 1818 at Washington, Maryland. Their children appearing on the 1850 census included: Samuel, Martin, Daniel and Joshua; a daughter Leah was married in 1844 and living with her husband Elias J Ohr as of the 1850 census. There may have been additional children not represented in that census.

Frederick and Elizabeth Rohrer were the parents of Martin T. Rohrer, who was born June 9, 1827, in Washington County, Maryland.
