DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Levi by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Levi:

Jillaine, I am not sure whether that would matter. Since finding that the Henry Rice of the Grist Mill and another Henry Rice were two different persons both born in Virginia in 1717, and both seemingly had sons named Levi, there is so much misinformation for the two, there may never be a valid correction. I plan on a trip to Pendleton County SC this year, I may find some info. Based on the info I have seen, I am not sure Jane was actually his wife. I read one story that this Levi was a cousin of the Levi in TN but nothing to document it with. Tracing Henry Rice of the Grist Mill, there is no documentation he was ever in SC. I will remove the connection with Margaret. DB 08Jan2018

So should Levi then be detached from any parents?

Rice-1139 and Rice-3702 are not ready to be merged because: I have made an unmerged match between Rice-1139 and Rice-3702. I have found no documentation Henry Rice of the "Grist Mill Rice Family" was ever in South Carolina. The gravestone of Henry does list a 'Levi" but no dates are shown/known for birth or death. It would be uncommon for someone to move their family from Tennessee to South Carolina and back. Since there are two known Henry Rice's born in Virginia in the same year, one went to Tennessee, the other is unknown. More documentation is needed.

Rice-1139 and Rice-3702 do not represent the same person because: Too many differences in parents and all dates.
