Henry H. Rice was born on 1 November 1854 in Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts. His parents were residents of Pittsfield. His father, Amasa, was a farmer, born in Chesterfield, MA. His mother, Sarah, was born in Charlestown, MA. [1]
Henry died in Pittsfield, MA on 12 November 1864, eleven days after his tenth birthday. Cause of death was listed as: killed in (on?) W.R.R. [2]
Note: Henry’s brother, Amasa named a son after Henry H. (who also died young), and another of Amasa’s sons, Robert, would name his son Henry H. as well.
