Thomas was named as having died around 1826 (or 1836? difficult to read) in an 1864 equity court case over his father Perry Rice's estate.[1] The case also names his three children Perry (deceased), Sarah wife of John Schindler in Ohio, and Mary Schaeffer (deceased leaving minor son Edward Thomas Schaeffer).
