The Sedalia Democrat (Sedalia, Missouri) 24 October 1927 p. 1: Former Resident Here Shot Husband. Excelsior Springs, Mo., Oct. 24 - Dr. F.W. Brownell, 46 years old, an osteopath, who until recent years had one of the most extensive practices here, early this morning was shot twice and dangerously wounded by his wife, Mrs. Edith Brownell.
