Biography

Hannah was born on 14 November 1747 in Lancaster (later Fayette) County, Pennsylvania, the obly known child of John and UNKNOWN Hannah.
In 1765, when she was about eighteen she married Thomas Gaddis II in Virginia and bore him a dozen children, six sons and six daughters:

  2. Ruth (Gaddis) McCoy
  3. Sarah Gaddis
  4. John Martin Gaddis
  5. James Gaddis
  6. Hannah (Gaddis) Hopwood
  7. Priscilla (Gaddis) Glover
  8. William Gaddis
  9. Leah (Gaddis) Rannells
  10. Thomas Gaddis
  11. Rice Gaddis
  12. John Gaddis
At some point the family moved to Ohio and Hannah died there on 4 February 1835 in Wilmington, Clinton County. She is buried in the Gaddis Cemetery in Wilmington.
