Funeral services were conducted in the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, Dec. 24, at 2:00 o'clock for Mrs. Nellie Crawford, 74, who died at the Rosary Hospital Tuesday at 4:30 a.m., after an illness of several months. Services were in charge of Dr. Chester Badgett, Dr. J. L. Robinson, and Dr. D. L. Druien, with burial in Brookside.

Mrs. Crawford, who lived at 608 N. Columbia Ave., was well known here having worked in three or more restaurants for several years and was a very faithful member of long standing to her church, the Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She was born in the Elkhorn community, Sept. 7, 1890, daughter of Cassie Ella Corney and Ben A. Rice, former attorney and Police Judge in Campbellsville several years. She was married to Ernest Crawford who died in 1930. She is survived by one son, Urdell Crawford, City; one brother, Harold Rice, Rt. 1, Sellersburg, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Edward Blakeman, Frankfort. One sister and a daughter preceded her in death. Pallbearers were Everette Lee, Woodruff Chandler, Dennis Smith, Douglas Bright, Ernest Richerson, and Neal Coots.
