Biography

Fisher was under age 21 when he was apprenticed out to William Walker in 1752.[1] His father was still of Drysdale Parrish in King & Queen as late as 1734,[2] but moved to Orange soon after.[3] Fisher might have been born in either location, depending on his exact year of birth. He served as Captain in the Culpepper, Virginia militia during the Revolution. He married Mary Agnes Pulliam. A deed registered 10 April 1829 Mercer County KY Deed Book 16 page 336 lists the heirs of Fisher Rice as follows:

Fisher moved his family to Kentucky before 1800. [4] In 1810, Fisher enslaved 8 people.
