Bernard Rice often said Benjamin Rice came down to the Machias area from Nova Scotia, Canada, and that he lived either on or by Indian land up there. My grandmother said the same thing. We have never been able to find out who his parents were.
It is believed Benjamin may be buried in Centerville, Maine since his wife, Jane is buried there.- posted by Karen Tobo Feb 2016.

Thanks for merging the profiles Rice-706 and Rice-617. Have you seen our help page on merging? It has a lot of useful tips. I keep it bookmarked so I can refer to it often. Let me know if there's anything that doesn't make sense. We want it to be as user friendly as possible. Thanks!
Rice-5998 and Rice-617 appear to represent the same person because: We already have an unmerged match for Rice-706 and Rice-617, so merging into the lowest number.
