Biography
Edgar S. Rice 96 of Albion, Illinois passed away at 6:39 AM Saturday November 14th, 2009 at Oakview Heights Nursing Home in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
Edgar was born July 31st, 1913 in Golden Gate, Illinois the son of Harvey W. and Lucy May (Smith) Rice. He married Madeline Daubs July 31st, 1936 in Albion, Illinois. To this union were born two children. Edgar managed the Albion Bowling Alley for many years, worked for Albion Brick Factory and was a WW2 Army Veteran. He was also a member of the Albion Christian Church and Moose Lodge and VFW of Albion, Illinois.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his Wife; Madeline, Son; Terry Dean. (Colene) Rice of Princeton, IN, Daughter; Nancy K. (Robert E.) Smith of Nixa, MO, Three Sisters; Amy Ruth Smith of West Salem, Illinois, Ann Muriel Tucker of Kilgore, TX, Louise Loudermilk of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; Five Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Edgar S. Rice will be conducted Wednesday November 18th, 2009 at 10Am at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery Albion with Full Military Rites at the graveside.
