Biography

Charles was born to John Kenimore Rice and Amsia Caroline Key.[1] He married Martha Jane Nolen. Their children were:

1. Andrew C Rice 1896-1932
2. Emily Lela Rice Lester 1897-1945
3. Ida Carolyn McDonald 1899-1997
4. Ollie Rice Cofield 1910-1998

Mattie died in 1911. Charles married Minnie Allen ( 1891- 1989).[2] Their children were:

1. Velma Lemurle Rice Hill 1917-2016
2. John Brinton Rice 1920-2011
3. Annie Ruth Rice McClendon 1923-2013
4. Charley W Rice b. 1930

Charles was a life-long resident of Alabama.[3] He died in Ashland, Alabama in 1972[4] and is buried in Lineville City Cemetery, New Lineville, Clay County, Alabama.[5]
