Biography

Margaret Rich was a daughter of Thomas Rich of Christian Malford, Wiltshire.^[1]

In 1606 Margaret Glover and her four children (not named) were beneficiaries of the Will of her brother Henry Rich of Christian Malford.^[2]

In the will of her father Thomas Rich, Husbandman of Christian Malford, Wiltshire the will made on 12 Jun 1625 and proved on 17 Mar 1625/1626^[1] the Testator made a bequest of five shillings and one pottenger to his daughter Margaret Dove. He also made bequests of ten shillings each to John Dove and Edith Dove.

A Margarett Dove, widow, was buried on '30 Sep 1635' at Christian Malford, WIltshire.^[3]

Summary of the Will of Margaret Dove 1636

In her will made on 01 Feb 1635/1636 and proved in July 1636^[4] she was recorded as Margaret Dove of the parish of Wroughton, Wiltshire. Her will was to be buried in the churchyard at Wroughton.

She made bequests to her kinsman William Dove, kinswoman Marie Dove and her son in law Edward Ferris.

She named William Ferris as her Executor and the Overseers were her brothers John Riche and William Riche.

The Inventory of the goods of Margaret Dove of Christian Malford, Widow, was taken on 06 Jun 1636.
