Research Notes

Jean Richard and Marie Mathurin Terriot are listed as father and mother on the marriage record of Monique Richard. Those present at the wedding included Joseph Theotime Richard who was also listed as her father. The names of the other witnesses listed indicate that Monique was the daughter of Joseph Theotime Richard and Anne Dugas, not Jean Richard and Marie Mathurin Terriot who did not have a daughter baptized Monique. Jean Richard and Joseph Theotime Richard are brothers.
