I was born in Cleburne, Johnson, Texas, USA on the 26th of Dec 1945. iI lived there with my Mother and Grandmother until about 1953, when my mother was committed to the Texas State Mental Facility in Terrell, Tx and i was adopted by my aunt (Gladys Bryan) and her Husband (Paul Lewis Murdaugh). In abt. 1959 i left home and started work on a ranch near Waco, TX, i also worked on a wheat harvesting crew, a shrimp boat, racking balls in a pool hall and setting pins in a bowling alley. In 1964 i was living in a YMCA in Waco when i decided to join the Army. I gave them 3 years in the infantry, (1 year in Viet Nam) and was discharged. i went to work as a geophysical technician on an offshore oil exploration crew. In 1968 I was in Buenos Aires when i gave notice, flew back to Dallas and joined the army again, went right back to Viet Nam for 18 months and then stayed in until i retired in 1986.
I then went to work in the Federal Civil Service as a Stationary Engineer at Buckley AFB in Aurora, CO, I retired from there after 20 years in 2006
Since then i have run a small business out of my home.
I am a cantankerous retired Army Infantry (Ranger) Veteran. How I made 20 years is beyond me but i did. I think each generation has to fight for our Republic, that at present we are raising a Nation of cowards. I am blunt spoken, generally polite have a number of opinions, and stand up for what i believe in and do not want you to stand on me to express yours.
It has been a journey
