He was married to Viola Babineaux Richard. After Viola died he was special friend of Caroline Miller Malbrough. He was her first boyfriend and she was his first girlfriend and they dated again after they were widowed.
He died in 2010 and is buried in Saint John Berchman Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Cankton, Louisiana.[1]
