On April 24, 1774 , Elizabeth, her parents and her brother, Christopher, left Newcastle-upon-Tyne aboard the sailing ship "The Providence" and sailed to Halifax, Nova Scotia.[1] The family settled in Sackville, New Brunswick.
Elizabeth's first marriage was to Unknown Wilkinson. She later married Gabriel Purdy, on September 17, 1804.[2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elizabeth:
I'm looking for a descendant of Elizabeth Richardson to compare mtDNA, in order to determine whether she and Charlotte Richardson were sisters. If you are a descendant of hers from an all-female line (ie your mother's mother's mother, etc) and have done a mtDNA test, or intend to, please contact me.
Richardson-9057 and Richardson-1232 appear to represent the same person because: Elizabeth Richardson, daughter of John Richardson and Mary Flintoff, married Gabriel Purdy. Note that Gabriel and Elizabeth have children named John Richardson Purdy and Samuel Flintif (Flintoff?) Purdy.
