Andrew Gibson Richardson was born in 1842 in Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Andrew Richardson and Margaret Gibson[1].
In the 1851 Canada census, Andrew was age 9 living at Garafraxa, Wellington County, Canada West (Ontario), Canada with his father Andrew Richardson (37), mother Margaret Richardson (37), sister Agness Richardson (13), brothers John Richardson (11), Thomas Richardson (7), James Richardson (5), Robert Richardson (3), William Richardson (2)[2][3].
In the 1861 Canada census, Andrew was age 19 living at Eramosa, Wellington, Ontario, Canada as a farm labourer[4][5].
In the 1871 Canada census, Andrew was age 28 living at Luther, North Wellington, Ontario, Canada with widow Margaret Hall (39?), her son William Hall (14), daughter Maggie Hall (12)[6][7]. Margaret's daughter Annie Hall, who Andrew would later marry, is not listed and was probably living away from home as a servant.
Andrew married Annie Hall about 1871 or 1872 in Ontario, Canada.
Annie and Andrew had nine known children: Albert (b. 1873), Margaret (b. 1876), Walter (b. 1879), Edwin (b. 1881), Jennie Ethel (b. 1885), Clifford Stanley (b. 1888), Alice Gibson (b. 1890), Gordon Mcclinton (b. 1892), Ernest (b. 1897).
In the 1881 Canada census, Andrew was age 38, living at Luther East, Wellington North, Ontario, Canada with his wife Annie (25?), and their sons Albert Richardson (7), Walter Richardson (2), daughter Maggie Richardson (5), also mother-in-law Margaret Hall (50?)[8][9].
In the 1891 Canada census, Andrew was age 49 living at Luther East, Wellington North, Ontario, Canada with his wife Annie (37), and their sons Albert (17), Walter (12), Edwin (9), Clifford (2), daughters Margaret (15), Jennie (5), Alice (10mo), also mother-in-law Margaret Hall (63?)[10][11].
In the 1901 Canada census, Andrew was age 58 living at Luther East, Wellington North, Ontario, Canada with his wife Annie (47), and their sons Albert (27), Walter (22), Edwin (19), Clifford (12), Gordon M (8), Ernest (4), daughters Margaret (24), Jennie (16), Alice (10), also brother-in-law William Hall (44)[12][13].
In the 1911 Canada census, Andrew was age 68 living at Luther East, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada with his wife Annie (57), and their sons Edwin (29), Clifford (22), Gordon (10?), Ernest (14), daughters Jean (25), Alice (21)[14][15].
In the 1921 Canada census, Andrew was age 78 living at Luther East, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada with his wife Annie (67), and their sons Edwin (39), Gordon (28), daughter Alice (26?)[16].
Andrew's wife Annie died in Jan 1923.
Andrew died in Apr 1923 age 80 at East Luther, Dufferin, Ontario[1] and was buried at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery[17].
