Biography

Wife of Wm. T. Stephens

Aged: 74 yrs, 7 mos, & 20 days [Bloomington (Indiana) Daily Telephone, March 7, 1913, page 1] From injuries she received two weeks ago when a cow attacked her, Mrs. William Stephens, aged 75, died at her home east of the city Thursday morning. Mrs. Stephens went into the stall to do the milking when the animal charged and pinned her against the side of the stall and then trampled her. Two or three of her ribs were broken, her face injured, and it is believed one lung was pierced and other internal injuries received, Mr. and Mrs. Stephens only recently celebrated their 50th wedding day.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by Mr. Stephens, who is now totally blind, and the following children: Louis, John, James, Belvin, Alex and Beeda Stephens, Mrs. Patrick Finley, Mrs. Sallie Stephens, Mrs. Martha Stephens and Mrs. Mary Richardson. She is also survived by one brother, Alfred Richardson.

Mrs. Stephenson was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral at the Brummett's Creek Church Friday at 11 o'clock in charge of Rev. Monroe Swindler.
