Biography
Charles Frederick Thompson Richardson was the son of Frederick Ernest Richardson and Hazel Bernice Thompson.[1]
He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Margery Elizabeth Hayman, for 66 years,[2] who survived his passing. Charlie was preceded in death by his brother James, his sisters Lois and Helen, and his son James.[3]
He served as a Major in the North Shore Regiment for the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII, and was a D-day veteran who was among the first wave to land on Juno Beach as a Lieutenant, No 4 Platoon Commander.[4][5][6]
After the war he was a bank clerk at the time of his marriage.[2]
