Anderson lived in St. Mary Parish (now Iberia Parish), Louisiana, on the Bayside Plantation, a slave owned by Francis DuBose Richardson.
In 1849 Allen was listed on a "Shoes and Blankets" list which named some of the enslaved who lived at Bayside Plantation.[1]
