L. Betsey, probably means Little Betsey, lived in St. Mary Parish (now Iberia Parish), Louisiana, on the Bayside Plantation, a slave owned by Francis DuBose Richardson.
In 1849 L. Betsey was listed on a "Shoes and Blankets" list which named some of the enslaved who lived at Bayside Plantation.[1]
In Jan 1852 a list showed the slaves who were paid on the amount of corn and Sunday work they did in 1851.[2]
