Mary I am working on the new challenge this week. I also have a great many family relatives from Carolinas. I noticed that in Williamsburg county there is not much for Cemeteries. I would be happy to work with you and your team to make improvements and additions to South Carolina. Thank you
Alice I am project coordinator for South Carolina after it became a state, and am Team Leader for the Province of South Carolina. I think you are talking about the cemeteries for Williamburg county, South Carolina. However you will need to send me your email address that WikiTree recognizes and I will add you to the Williamsburg County, South Carolina.

Mary, would someone from Southern Colonies be willing to help us dig in to this South Carolina family? It's part of the WikiTree Challenge ending Wednesday and we're trying to decide if we have enough info to declare this Joachim Hudson profile to be conflated and in need of splitting:

Hello

It’s time for a Project check-in!

Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.

What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?

This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.

I still am with the Stewarts team. I doubt there is a McAlpin Team (the other branch of my father's family from Stirlingshire. I have used discord, but prefer google groups.. Although now am receiving the Scotland emails in a group. I am the project coordinator for Military and War and can tell you we have the Military and War Google group set up to send messages out each time.

There is in fact a Clan MacAlpine team, if you are interested. You can find it here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Clan_MacAlpine

Let me know if you are interested in joining that team.

Digest emails are the default setting for Scotland Project, as there are times when it can get very busy. If you would like me to change your setting to each email, I can certainly do that, if you like.

I have a question about project 1776, of which I am new to.

I have gone through the more than 14 of my ancestors who are very likely revolutionary veterans (no tories found). Only 2 of those have 1776 icons in their wiki profiles, so I have some work to do.

However, neither of those 2 with icons have 1776-project listed among the profile managers. Is this correct? I was going to use those as examples, but now I'm not sure.

What is the relationship between the 1776-project (and its profile format) and having a 1776 icon on the profile?

I am still struggling with instructions for Project 1776. There is an explicit statement on the 1776 page that the subject profile needs to have Project-1776 as a profile manager. However, when I reviewed again all profile example on the 1776 page, none had project-1776 as a profile manager. Please explain what appears to be a contradiction.

I am posting this because I have received no response in trying to join the google group for 1776 communication.

Hi Mary,

We're sad to inform you that the Black Sheep Project is being dissolved. All BSP's subprojects will be moved in pieces under the Notables Project as categories and perhaps as Teams, depending on interest. Witch Trials will become a subproject of Notables.

Your BSP project member badge will soon be removed. If you'd like to join the Notables project, please let one of us know and we'll get you a Notables badge.

Please email either of us if you have any questions and if you'd like to join the Notables project.

Hi Mary

My name is Amy. I'm a co-Leader of the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Amy, I am a very distant descendant of the Stewarts Clan from Ledcreich, Scotland. I worked on these to connect. I do not have a badge for Scotland Clans or Scotland project. I also have another branch on my father's side of McAlpine's but never found a clan.

If you're okay with it, I would like to add you to the Stewart and MacAlpine Clans. MacAlpine is considered an armigerous clan, but is recognized by the Court of the Lord Lyon. I'll ensure that you get the Scotland Project badge as well.

Mary I saw your question about the Southern Colonies project. I have not been active.

I recently uncovered a treasure trove of documents about my Kennedy line.

Most of them have to do with my 3x paternal grand father, Alexander A Kennedy. 99% of these are original documents written during his life (1802 to 1895)

I will be months sorting through all this and will not have time for the Southern Colonies project at this time.

If it is OK I will remain a member and can assist after sorting through these 246 documents.
