Hi Mary

My name is Amy. I'm a co-Leader of the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely, Amy Gilpin

Hi Amy, I am a very distant descendant of the Stewarts Clan from Ledcreich, Scotland. I worked on these to connect. I do not have a badge for Scotland Clans or Scotland project. I also have another branch on my father's side of McAlpine's but never found a clan.

posted by Mary Richardson
If you're okay with it, I would like to add you to the Stewart and MacAlpine Clans. MacAlpine is considered an armigerous clan, but is recognized by the Court of the Lord Lyon. I'll ensure that you get the Scotland Project badge as well.

Thank you Amy for adding me to Stewart Clan and the McAlpine Clan as well as the Scotland badge.

Mary, No I am not actively involved in the Disasters project. My only connection is an nth cousin, Charles Ivor Rae Campbell ( Campbell-21709 ) who was both a cause of, and a victim of, the R-38 Airship disaster in 1921.

Mary- I am trying to change the surname at birth from Mardis to Marders on Mardis-69, but can't. I note that when I go to edit on my own site, there is an edit function for birth names. That doesn't show up on Mardis-69. How should I proceed?

Hi, Mary:

I've been in-and-out of the so hospital for almost a year so have pretty much lost the bubble. I hope to return to Southern Colonies in the near future if I haven't lost too many brain cells.

Mary I saw your question about the Southern Colonies project. I have not been active.

I recently uncovered a treasure trove of documents about my Kennedy line.

Most of them have to do with my 3x paternal grand father, Alexander A Kennedy. 99% of these are original documents written during his life (1802 to 1895)

I will be months sorting through all this and will not have time for the Southern Colonies project at this time.

If it is OK I will remain a member and can assist after sorting through these 246 documents.

Keep me in the Southern Colonies project. I still add and update files for my Southern ancestors but also move on to other areas at time.

By the way, although originally from South Carolina I currently live in San Antonio.

Hey Mary,

I am still around and since nearly ALL of my Ancestors were southern, I am always working to improve my southern colonist profiles.

Please keep me in the project indefinitely.

Thank you, Mary, for your inquiry about progress/contributions on the Southern Pioneers Project. Your check-in prompted me to work on the Project's unsourced profiles, and now I know "my niche!" I "love" adding sources! I still have more of my ancestors profiles to add. Not too fast with sourcing profiles though, due to hip surgeries, and now hip replacement likely this month... wishing your husband a fast and complete recovery!

Mary, I have worked on the US Southern Colonies since I joined WT. I was part of the Southern Pioneer project to start but since it was my understanding that management would place the pioneer stickers on qualifying profiles and none of mine received one I don't worry about that anymore.

Also, I joined the South Carolina project, spent all evening transcribing a passenger ship list to be posted and the project leader placed it on the page and gave someone else the credit for the work. I am sure you know you can see why I have stopped involving myself in projects. Feel free to remove any of the project templates you desire. Oh yeah, in case you didn't know you and I are 10th cousins.
