Biography
Polly M was born in January 1851 in Arkansas. She married William Jasper Dodd in 1872. They had eight children in 24 years. She died on August 8, 1915, in Sebastian County, Arkansas, at the age of 64, and was buried in Hackett, Arkansas.
On the 1870 Census for Brawley Township, Scott County, Arkansas, page 1, a Malinda Richerson age 21 and daughter Sarah Richerson age 1, is living with Amanda (Anthony) Pool + John J. Pool family. Amanda is the sister of Olivia (Anthony) Dodd, William Jasper's mother. Co-incidentally, Olivia & family, including William is living just doors away and are listed on the same page of the census. Could this Malinda and Sarah Richerson actually be Polly Richerson and her daughter? William Jasper Dodd and Polly Richerson were married within 2 years of the 1870 census. Is it possible that Sarah is not William Jasper's daughter? Why was Malinda living with the Pool family? No other Richerson family can be found in the area in the 1870's. Is she somehow related to the Pool or Anthony Family?
