Amaziah was a son of Amaziah Richmond and his first wife, Zeriah Richmond, born in Taunton, Massachusetts, on 14 October 1761.[1]
The family removed from Massachusetts to Barnard, Vermont, some time after about 1778.[1]
Amaziah had military service in the American Revolutionary War; his widow is recorded as receiving a pension for his service. [1]
He married Sarah Field in Athens, Vermont, on 31 May 1790.[1]
He died on 30 December 1843 and is buried in Springfield, Vermont.[1]
