According to Charles Ervin Baker's genealogy: He was a farmer in Schoharie N. Y. He is found on the New York State census 1875, the 1880 and 1900 US Census. His birth date was given as 1840 on the 1880 census and May 1842 on the 1900 census. His family moved to Union N. Y. and later to Binghamton, where they died.
