Dillard Luther Ricketts was born on 15 August 1872 in Campbellsburg, Henry, Kentucky, United States, son of Robert Luther Ricketts (1827–1894) and Elizabeth Jane (Shouse) Ricketts (1834–1899).[1]
Dillard (21) married Lalla Amanthus (Caplinger) Ricketts (19) on 10 January 1894 in Henry Co, Kentucky. Their known children were:
- Minnie J (Ricketts) Dufour (1897– )
- Henry Davis Ricketts (1903–1978)
Dillard died on 12 February 1955 in Eminence, Henry, aged 82. He was buried in New Castle Cemetery, New Castle, Henry County, Kentucky.[1]
