Harold is the son of Edward Ricketts and Florence Vaughan.[1]
Harry enlisted in the AIF in 1914, sailing from Australia aboard HMAT Hymettus on September 17, 1915.[2] At the time of his enlistment, Harry was living at the Bay View Hotel in Swansea, Tasmania, a hotel owned and run by his father, Edward.
Harry was Killed in Action during intense shelling in Belgium on October 15, 1917 and is buried in the Hooge Crater Cemetery in Belgium.[3]
Harry's name appears on the Roll of Honour at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.[4]
