William Thomas RICKETTS was born in 1851 in St George The Martyr, Southwark, Surrey, England[1]. He was the son of Wlliam (Jack) RICKETTS and Mary Ann CLINE.
The ship, Emigrant set sail from Plymouth, England on 19 July 1854 with the RICKETTS family among the passengers and arrived in Port Adelaide, Province of South Australia on 24 October 1854[2][3]. The RICKETTS family from Surrey consisted of parents William (age 24 Carpenter) and Mary Ann (21) and their sons, William (2) and Charles (1).
