Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

There is a great Genealogy 101 references list here: http://www.cyndislist.com/beginners/ . WikiTree is a collaborative site for people of all experience levels.

Hello, I do agree with the mission and would do everything possible to keep all information contained in the tree as accurate as possible. I believe this site is an awesome tool and would benefit future generations. I'd like for my grandchildren's children, and grandchildren, be able to access their family history and find me, my parents and grandparents, and further. Not sure about how to be a genealogist, but willing to help grow the tree. My experience on the subject, is simply that I've been a "family member" since 1966.
