Biography
He was a farmer until sometime after 1879, when he began working in retail sales. His first wife (Martha Poe) died in about 1894. His second wife was Laura Lloyd. In 1901, after he joined several relatives in Toombs County, Georgia, he began working as a grocery clerk. The cause of his death was senile dementia praecox. His burial was in Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina, United States.
