Jean May Riddle was born in 1913,[1] on Aug 25th, and was baptised on Oct 5th of that same year at St Paul's, Durban. She is the daughter of Jonathan Morrison Riddle (boiler maker) and Lily May Riddle, whom were living at Point Road at that time. The baptism was witnessed by Adeline Henrietta Watson, Ada Jones and William Jones.[2]
On 16 Aug 1932 Jean married Reginald Theodore Godfrey Shutte at Stamford Hill, Durban. [3]
Jean married Charles Louis Lachenicht on 7 Nov 1941 at Durban, Natal. [4]
