Obituary Transcript : Sawyerville, Feb. 27. — Residents of Sawyerville were grieved to learn that ThomasRiddlehad passed away at his home here on Monday evening, February fi. Born at Melle Isle, Ar- gentueil County, on May 16, 1863, the son of James Riddleand his wife, Mary Jane Doherty, the deceased, who was the sixth in a family of thirteen children, came with his par ents to this community at an early age and had always resided in or near Sawyerville. On December 25, 1889, he mar ried Elizabeth McVetty, who pre deceased him on February 9, 1938. Mr. Riddle is survived by one daughter, Myrtle M. Riddle, of Sawyerville; a son and daughter-in- law, Thomas L. and Mrs. Riddle;two grandchildren, June and Ross Riddle of Montreal; and two brothers, Henry and Joseph Riddle,both of Sawyerville, besides a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends, who extend sympathy to the bereaved family. The funeral was held at the home on Wednesday afternoon, February 8. The service was conducted by Rev. A. E. Hagar and the remains were laid to rest in the Maple Leaf by four nephews V.B Masters R.H Riddle, H Graham and C.R Blair
