Timothy was born in 1754 in Sussex County, New Jersey. He married Michel Johnson in New Jersey about 1776[1] and they had at least nine children. They moved to Greene County, Pennsylvania in 1794 and then to Harrison County, Ohio in 1812. Clearing a tract of land in the dense forest, he made a good farm. He became "an honored and respected citizen of sterling worth, who reared a number of children to be excellent citizens."[2] He passed away in 1835.
