Biography

Christopher Ridley 11 (1), third son of Nicholas 10 (4), married Anne, daughter of William and Margaret Blenkinsop, of Blenkinsop, and had issue four children (perhaps others), of whom hereafter. [1]

He was of Unthank Hall, Northumberland.

Christopher was a confidante of Henry VIII, one of the very few Henry regarded as a friend.

Harvey's Visitation in 1552 p.19 : Ridley

NYCHOLAS, son and heyre to Nycholas, maryed the dowghter to Curweu of Wyrkenton, and by her had yssu Nycholas, eldyst ; Cristouer (sic) London, ijnd sone, father to the bishope of London. [2]

Ridley-407 and Ridley-1605 do not represent the same person because: merge is stuck. Need to reject and then repropose to complete.
