Biography

Birth: Henry Ridlon was born 15 Feb 1790 in Saco, Maine. He was the son of Ephraim Ridlon and Elizabeth (Scamman) Ridlon .[1][2]

Henry Redlon married Sarah Sweat on 24 January 1813 in Saco, York, Maine, United States.[3]

Death: Henry died 10 Aug 1821 recorded as "lost at sea."[4][2]

Research Notes

-Maine was part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts until 1820, when it voted to secede from Massachusetts to become a separate state.[5]
-This area of "Maine" was reorganized in 1653 as Saco, which was renamed Biddeford in 1718, and the district was the Town of Pepperellborough in 1775. It was renamed Saco in 1867.[6]
