Biography

Sara was born in Saint-Boniface Parish in the Red River Colony on 11 October 1848. She was the daughter of Louis Riel and Julie Lagimodiere.

She joined the Grey Nuns and became the first Métis Grey Nun from Red River Colony.

Sara died of tuberculosis in Île-à-la-Crosse, North-West Territories, on 27 December 1883.
