Biography

John Rigby was born in 1903 in St Helens. He was the son of Richard Rigby and Mary Jane (Reid) Rigby.

By April 2nd 1911, Richard and Mary Jane had their own household in St Helens. Peter was working as a beerseller. In addition to their own children, there was a nineteen-year-old servant Minnie Reid living with them - perhaps helping in the pub - and two orphaned children, Fred and Rhoda Eden, were boarding with them.
