Biography

Timothy was born 4 Feb 1808 in South Hawes, North Meols, and christened 28 Feb 1808.^[1]

He married Catherine Barton on 18 Aug 1834: Timothy Rigby of this parish & Catharine Barton of this parish...married by banns...both by x mark...in the presence of James Rigby (x) and Ann Johnson (x).^[2]

1841 - Hawes Side, North Meols, Lancashire, England - Timothy was 30, a fisherman; living with wife Catherine (28), children John (5), Margaret (3) and Robert (1).^[3]

1851 - Hawes Side, North Meols, Lancashire, England - Timothy was 40, fisherman; living with wife Catherine (39) and children John (14, fisherman), Margaret (13), Robert (11, scholar), James (8, scholar) and Ann (11 mos); many Rigby relatives living nearby, most of which are fisherman & their families.^[4]

1861 - Hawes Side, North Meols, Lancashire, England - Timothy was 57, fisherman; living with wife Catherine (48, housekeeper) and children Robert (21, fisherman), James (19, fisherman), Ann (10, scholar) and Timothy (7, scholar).^[5]

Timothy died 12 Sep 1866: "Sep. 12, at Hawes-side, aged 58, Mr. Timothy Rigby."^[6] He was buried in Southport 14 Sep 1866.^[7]
