Sarah Ann Rigby was born about 1858, her birth being registered that year in Heywood, Victoria, the daughter of John Rigby and Sarah Brough. [1]
In 1883, in Victoria, she married James Jackson. The Victorian Pioneer Index records his birthplace as Hamilton and Sarah's as Haywood, but meaning Heywood. [2][3]
Sarah Ann Jackson passed away in 1935, aged 75 years. Her death was registered Hamilton, Victoria, her parents indexed as John Samuel Rigby and Sarah Brough.[4]
Sarah and her husband, James Jackson, are interred in the Hamilton General Cemetery. Their headstone, in the shape of an open book with the inscriptions side by side, reads[5]:-
