Mary Jane Rigby was born in 1868 & most likely in North Paywit (now Indented Head), Victoria, Australia a farming district, near the shore 3 miles (east) from Portarlington. North Paywit has not been a suburb since the early 1900's when it became part of Indented Head. 
According to her obituary Mary Jane (Rigby) Robinson was a native of Heywood (30 kms North of Portland). She probably moved there c1880 (at the age of 13) after her mother Catherine (Devlin) Rigby (1840-1880) died in childbirth of a rupture of the womb aged 40 years.
There were many Rigby & Devlin families in the Heywood & Portland areas at that time. 
Note: Lawrence (Laurie) John Robinson (1927- 2015) recollected to his daughters that his relatives (Rigby's) were from Portland.
Mary Jane Rigby married John Robert Robinson in 1889 in Victoria, Australia & they had nine children.
Mary Jane & John Robert both passed away in late 1930 at their residence 17 Watt St, Spotswood. John died suddenly on the 8 Oct 1930 & Mary Jane four weeks later on the 12 Nov 1930 after an illness of some months.
Mary Jane Rigby's father William Rigby (1829-1900) was most likely from Fleetwood, Co. Lancashire, England & her mother Catherine Devlin (1840-1880) was most likely from Ireland. Her parents were married in 1866 & had 6 children, Note: William may have been a widower.
Mary Jane Rigby had 5 siblings who were all born at Bellarine except:-
George (1866-1943) born Indented Head; Catharine (1868-Unknown); Hannah (1870-1949); William Edward (1874-1952); & Elizabeth Cecilia (1877-1908).
Mary Jane Rigby (aged 21) from Heywood (ex North Paywit) & John Robert Robinson (aged 25) from Williamstown were married in 1889 in "TBA", Victoria.

Leo Edward (1898-1970) born Williamstown, married 1921 & died Footscray West,
William Bernard (1900-1948) born Bellarine East (North Paywit), Married 1926 & died Spotswood,
Joseph Adrian (1904-1951) born Bellarine East (St Leonards), married 19?? & died Newport,
Jane (1910-1910) born Williamstown & died Williamstown aged 1 &
Catherine Jane (Rigby) Peel (1913-1968) born Newport (Williamstown), married 1935 & died Yarraville.

c1881-1888: Moved to Heywood (aged 14-21) 30 km north of Portland, Victoria after her mother died in childbirth in 1880.
1889: After marriage (aged 22) residence most likely Williamstown area TBA.
1890-1891: Williamstown - Ref Henry William born Williamstown 1890.
1892: 12 Cox's Garden, Williamstown Ref: Sands & McDougall's 1892.
1892-1896 they had moved to North Paywit (now Indented Head near Portarlington) from their son John Robinson 1892 BDM - Victoria record -Baptised Geelong.
1896-1899 they moved back to Williamstown.
1900-1904 they were living at North Paywit (now Indented Head near Portarlington) with their children going to St Leonards PS after Mary Jane's father William Rigby died in 1900.
1903 Victorian Election (16 Dec 1903) - John & Mary Jane Robinson were living in North Paywit / Indented Head. 
By 1910: They were back at Williamstown.
c1913: Finally most likely settled in Spotswood as Catherine Jane was born in Newport in 1913.
1930: John & Mary Jane were living at 17 Watt St, Spotswood (BDM Death Place Newport).

After an illness of some months Mary Jane Robinson passed away on Tuesday, at her residence, 17 Watt St, Spotswood. Deceased, a native of Heywood, was 63 years of age, and the wife of the late John Robinson, who predeceased her only a month ago. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon from the residence of her son, George Robinson, Susman St, Newport, for the local cemetery.
Mary Jane's brother Ned Rigby (William Edward Rigby) was a fisherman-farmer, who lived opposite the Batman Memorial, No. 358 (The Esplanade, Indented Head) was a member of the original Batman Park Committee of Management (17 June 1925).
