Jay Rigg and I match as 4th cousins on 23 and Me. My tree is on Ancestry: Braswell-Underwood. As you will see, my ancestor is Boardvine R. Riggs, b. 1799 NC. My Braswell cousins test Riggs. I match some Riggs males, so it may be mtDNA? There is one Riggs m. to a Braswell in Sumner TN . I'm thinking Boardvine's father is a Riggs.
Cheryl, yes! The way we collaborate on one global family tree takes some getting used to! I'm sorry I had bungled your Aunt Lannie's branch of the tree! It sure was confusing that the two Kennedy brothers married two women named Lannie Lowe, especially since Levi's wife seems to be named Bethanie and not Motlanie (which is a lot easier to see as getting the nickname Lannie).
I should know better - my husband and his brother both married Karens.
Let me know if I can add you as profile manager or to the trusted list of any relatives. It's great to have cousins to help build the tree.
Cheryl, it is so nice to have someone here who knows the Lowe family so well! I had confused Thomas and Sarah's Lanie (Low) Kennedy with Sterling and Sarah's Lanie (Low) Hicks Kennedy.
It would have been easier for me to follow the corrections if you had just disconnected Levi Kennedy from the first Lanie instead of redoing Levi's profile as Richmond. I've recreated a profile for Levi Kennedy and removed his sources from his original profile, which is now Richmond Kennedy. I hope that makes sense!
