Biography

Martha was born in 1677 in Newark, New Jersey.

There is no documented proof that Martha is the daughter of Edward and Mary.

Martha married Samuel Freeman in 1696. Marriage Record: NameMartha Riggs Spouse S. Freeman parents Edward, Mary Riggs, Munn birth Place Newark, Essex, NJ birth Date 1677 marriage Place Newark, Date 1696.

They had the following children:

  • Martha. About 1715
  • Sarah (1724-1756
  • Timothy 1728

Possible children being researched:

Stephen b. In Newark 1696 Samuel died in October, 1782, was buried in Orange. Benjamin b 1712. d 1789 at 77 in Morris. Jedediah, b 1726, died 1811 at 85, buried in Orange. Abel, b 1725, d 1803 age 78 in Orange.
