Jacobus Andrew Ryker was born in 1736 in Queens, New York to Abraham Riker and Geesie Van Alst. He married Anna Catrina Rapalje on February 20, 1761, in his hometown. They had five children during their marriage. He died on August 26, 1809, in Queens, New York, at the age of 73.

I have come across a family bible printed in 1813 and the first names in it were Cornelius Rapelye, wife Maria Riker. It is mostly Rapelye, also mentions Jacobus Riker and his wife Catherine.
