Daniel was born Sep 11 1898 in Mississippi. He was the son of Daniel Van Buren Riley Sr. and Sarah Frances (Chancellor) Riley. He first married Asenas Lou Vera (Davis) Riley before 1918 in Mississippi. After she passed away Feb 3 1935, he married Nora Lea C. (Unknown) Riley. He passed away May 22 1978 in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Laurel, Jones Co., Mississippi.'
