Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for James Arthur Riley, 52 of Collins, who passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his residence.

Brother Ken Hickman and Brother Ronnie Sanford will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Simpson County. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Smith, Kevin Davis, Grady Sims, Don Nichols, Brian Abernathy, Kenneth Yates, Brandon Knight, and Kyle Herrin.

Mr. Riley was born on August 19, 1964 in Magee, Mississippi. He was a graduate of the Collins High School Class of 1983, and received an Associates of Arts degree from Jones County Junior College. Mr. Riley retired after twenty six years as a Product Design Engineer in the Tool and Die Industry. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Lela Marie Nichols Riley of Collins; one daughter, Brittany Riley of Collins; one son, James Arthur “A.J.” Riley, II of Collins; his parents, James D. and Carolyn Parish Riley of Collins; one sister, Connie Riley Smith and her husband, Lonnie of Sumrall; one niece, Keri Eubanks Abernathy and her husband, Brian of Pearl; two great nieces, Ava Abernathy and Ali Abernathy, both of Pearl; and a host of other family members and friends. [2]
