Adding name and birthdate/ deathdate of father of George Washington Rinehart based on a Findagrave site. The location of death and the year of death are consistent with the 1850 Census showing that mother of George Washington is widowed and her youngest child is 4, the father could have died no earlier than 1845 and no later than at the time the census was taken. We know that the mother of George Washington Rinehart-Catherine was born in Pennsylvania and lived Tuscarawas County Ohio, in 1950, and the Phillip Rinehart shown on the Findagrave site was also born in Pennsylvania and died inTuscarawas County Ohio and was married to a Catherine Rinehart, Adding information from Findagrave site and marking as uncertain.[1] According to a History of Tuscarawas County Ohio, a Michael Rinehart moved to Tuscarawas, Ohio from Pennsylvania in 1809, Michael was in the war of 1812 and a member of the Lutheran Church. He died in 1858, aged sixty-nine years. Adam Rinehart, his brother, owned the south east quarter of Section 20, and afterward sold and moved West. Michael was the father of Philip (see Research Notes) Philip would have been around 9 when his father Michael moved to Ohio.[2] Philip was a Justice of the Peace in 1828 [3]

Research Notes

I have recently found a family history regarding the Rineharts in Ohio, which I will add as I have time. This is the source for giving Phillips father as Michael. The date of birth for Michael comes from a note in The History of Tuscarawas, but if that is correct either Phillips date of birth is incorrect or his father was not the same Michael Rinehart as the one cited in The History of Tuscarawas County, because Michael would have been 7 years old when Philip was born. I will have to do some more research!

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Phillip by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Phillip:
