Marcus Ring was born circa 1790, and christened in 1810, the son of Marcus Ring and Abigail Churchill of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia[1]
On May 28, 1811, he married Mercy Trefry, daughter of Joshua Pitman Trefry II and Elizabeth Kinney of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and had children[2] including:
Abijiah Ring, born 1810 who married Hannah Carney, daughter of Daniel Carney[3]
Abigail Ring, born 1812, who married Cornelius Mood[4]
Benjamin Ring, born 1814, who died unmarried in 1846[2]
Jacob C. Ring, born 1815 who married Mary Robbins, Zilpha's sister, and did not have children[2]
Marcus Ring III, born 1816, who married Zilpha Robbins [5]
Jane, born circa 1819, who married Nelson Cook on February 7, 1843, and after he died she married Deacon Jacob Potter, on May 8, 1856[6]
Rebecca Ring, born circa 1822, who married Henry Seeley of Argyle[7]
Mercy died 24 February 1827 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia[8]
In 1837, Marcus married Phoebe (Scott) Crosby, widow of Benjamin Crosby, and they had a daughter:
Deborah, born in 1831, who married Jesse Wyman II on November 11, 1855, and who died December 2, 1888[9]
Marcus died in 1871.
