Riopel-175 and Riopel-243 appear to represent the same person because: Birth dates & places, death dates & places, immigration to Michigan; and wives appear to be the same. Appears to be a classic case of someone working down the tree overlapping with someone working up.

Hello, Thanks again! I agree with the merge. This time it told me my approval was noted and would happen when the other profile manager approves it. I was actually on the site with the intention of adding much information I have from family records I was given, but so far I'm just approving matches. So for these requested merges, should I wait to make any changes I might have until the merges are finalized?

Hi Linda

I'd suggest you go ahead making any changes you have. As a general rule I prefer to make such revisions to the one which already has the most detail - this makes the post merge edits easier. And you'll probably want do it to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Riopel-175 since that is the number that is supposed to survive. That way your improvements are easily captured in the merge.

Waiting also works.

Now you've got me curious to see what additional data you have... And pictures are always lovely, if you should have them. I'll watch...

Best wishes - Jim

And looking at the two pages again, I'd say add your material where it is easiest for you. These two pages are pretty balanced.

Best - Jim
