Biography

Mary M Ritchey was born 1832 in Randolph County, Arkansas Territory. She was the daughter of James M Ritchey and Rachel Thornhill.

Marriage

1. Mary Ritchey married John Whitworth on 15 September 1853 in Franklin County, Missouri^[1]
2. Mary Whitworth married James Young on 7 January 1858 in Franklin County, Missouri^[2]. They were 1st cousins.

Death and Burial

A newspaper announcement stated that the funeral sermon of Mrs. Mary M Young would be held at Old Alexandria church on the 4th Sabbath in June 1877^[6]. She is presumed to be buried at Old Alexandria Cemetery in Troy, Lincoln, Missouri^[7].
