Mary M Ritchey was born 1832 in Randolph County, Arkansas Territory. She was the daughter of James M Ritchey and Rachel Thornhill.
Marriage
Mary Ritchey married John Whitworth on 15 September 1853 in Franklin County, Missouri[1]
Mary Whitworth married James Young on 7 January 1858 in Franklin County, Missouri[2]. They were 1st cousins.
Residence
1850: Mary was living with her parents and 6 siblings in Franklin, Franklin County, Missouri[3].
1860: Mary was living with her husband James and 2 children in Monroe Township, Lincoln County, Missouri[4].
1870: Mary was living with husband James and 5 children in Bedford, Lincoln County, Missouri[5]. 2 year old William Willard was also in the household.
Death and Burial
A newspaper announcement stated that the funeral sermon of Mrs. Mary M Young would be held at Old Alexandria church on the 4th Sabbath in June 1877[6]. She is presumed to be buried at Old Alexandria Cemetery in Troy, Lincoln, Missouri[7].
